BOOK A BRAINSTORM

About Me

I am an editor and writer,

in love with words

and finding the right ones.

I’m Amelia Hodsdon

Yes, the spelling of my surname is unusual – it can be traced back to Hoddesdon, in Hertfordshire.

I work with words for my job as a freelance copyeditor, proofreader and technical editor. I also use them quite a lot as a writer and an MA student, studying Nature & Travel Writing at Bath Spa University.

I have worked for Phaidon, Granta, Waterstones, and the Guardian, where I co-edited the style guide. Freelance clients include Laine, 60 North Publishing and the Design Council.

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is my home again after 25 years in London.
